Part 5: Finding Scholarly Articles

Databases are collection of articles available on the Library's webpage. Let's do a sample search to get some practice searching for articles.

1. Find out how to login to the library databases. How do you get a library card?

2. Now return to the Library's webpage. Select InfoTrac from the list of database choices. Click on proceed. Click on the database title Opposing Viewpoints.

3. From the Popular Topics list, select Narcotics legalization.

4. Many different types of resources are available. As you learned in the video, instructors often require the use of academic/scholarly journals. To see this type of article, click on the Academic Journals tab.

5. Play the Quia RDG 110 databases matching game.
